About the Founder:

Leona Banfield, M.ADS

Certified Leadership Coach | Behaviour Change Specialist | Social Services Expert | Growth Catalyst

Leona is the Principal and Coach at Ginomai Consulting and Training, leveraging her extensive expertise in human development and behavior modification over a span of 20 years. With a solid foundation in leadership and a wide range of experiences collaborating with teams to enhance culture, Leona has established herself as a professional in her field.

Recognizing that change is an unavoidable aspect of any organization, Leona rejects the notion that "change management" can be addressed through a single training. Instead, she believes that navigating change necessitates deliberate strategic planning and personalized approaches due to the ever-evolving nature of events such as restructuring, funding cuts, and operational modifications. Embracing change management as a daily practice, Leona prioritizes the development of her clients' leadership skills as an essential step towards building resilient teams. As a result, her clients have witnessed substantial and noticeable enhancements in team collaboration, problem-solving, alignment, and overall adaptability when confronted with change.

As a dedicated consultant, Leona is deeply committed to fostering sustainable behavior change and assessing the impact of her work alongside her clients. This enables them to evaluate progress, devise future plans, and achieve long-lasting outcomes.

Additionally, Leona is actively involved with a Social Change consultancy in Toronto, where she supports non-profit organizations and charities in business strategy and change management, as well as Leadership and Culture Change Consultancy in the USA. Furthermore, she serves on the Behavior Science Program Advisory Committee for Algonquin College in Ontario, is the Social Media Coordinator for 100 Women Who Care Burlington, and volunteers as a Dog Walker for the Burlington Humane Society.

Leona's educational background includes a master's degree in Applied Behavior Analysis from Brock University in St. Catharines, ON. She has amassed practical expertise and professional leadership experience throughout her career, working with a diverse range of clients in both the non-profit and for-profit sectors. By designing Leadership Learning Programs and Coaching Programs that are both relatable and actionable, Leona has proven her ability to deliver results.
